SERVICES

UPCV WINDOW SPRAYING

We clean all surfaces with UPCV cleaner to start with. All removable mastic and sealant is then removed and replaced with a matching colour. All services are then rubbed down and primed and also rubbed down between coats with a tack cloth. For window spraying, it’s important that none of the spray hits the glass, so all glass is completely wrapped in plastic sheets, masking paper and tape.

UPCV DOOR SPRAYING

Door Spraying is a similar process to the aforementioned; we wash the door down with UPCV cleaner, remove all sealant, rub down to make the surface smooth, wash down with tack cloths. However, before we start, we also remove the letterbox, house numbers and any other elements that may be on the door. We mist coat the doors then rub down between 2-3 coats again before we’re finished.

UPCV KITCHEN SPRAYING

When it comes to our kitchen spraying process, to start with, everything has to be de-greased. With kitchens, it’s of major importance to tape up everything, including ceilings, floors and all splashback areas; pretty much everything we don’t want to paint on is covered, meticulously wrapped in paper and tape. We then resume our usual spraying process, only with kitchens, we use a hardening agent on the final 1-2 coats of paint.

UPCV CONSERVATORY SPRAYING

A very similar process to how we spray the windows, as they’re both glass, though there are a few differences in the process. To start with a lot more has to be cleaned out, additionally, we need to thorougly clean the gutters, as well as any adjacent fixtures. There is typically a lot more glass windows involved with conservatories, so there is more more to tape up and cover before we start the usual process.

PEBBLE DASH

Before starting a pebble dash job, we actually begin our preparations the day before, with a thorough jet wash of the area/surrounding area. Any moss or algae etc is cleaned out as well, any gutters or drains are also cleaned thoroughly. The next day, all walls/floors are primed with airless sprayer and left to dry for 12 hours, before we commence work on the top coats. Where other jobs can require 2-3 coats, Pebble Dash can take 4-5 coats, as it’s a larger  surface area and it’s undertaken at multiple angles. We take a lot of precautions prior to these jobs; windows are covered, driveway is covered and any neighbours cars are also covered.

RENDER

Spray rendering is a  way of applying render to a property using a specialised render pump. It can be chalenging to paint over surfaces that have been rendered, but with our process, we are completely up to the task! As with most of the other jobs, the time-consuming aspect is the preliminary work; cleaning the areas thoroughly, taping up everywhere, before the spray job itself takes place and the drying period between coats.

MASONRY & BRICKWORK

Masonry and Brickwork needs to be jet washed the day before we do any paintwork to get everything clear, for example dirt caught between the bricks or any cracks. A day later when we commence the painting job, we utilise a waterproof sealant so that we know it’s solid and it’s going to last.

ROLLER SHUTTERS

Roller Shutters are one of the more difficult jobs that we undertake. As there is usually a lot of residual paint on them from previous jobs, we have to rub them down thoroughly with an abrasive wheel to ensure that all paint is removed, before resuming our typical cleaning process. Sometimes there are even layers of residual paint remaining, so we need to burn it off using heat guns. We typically undertake these jobs on the weekends or evenings. After completing the paint job, we finish up the job with a hardening agent on the final coat.

FENCES & GATES

As a lot of fences and gates can have a lot of residual paint, it’s a bit of a similar process prepping to how we prep for roller shutters. So we use the abrasive wheel for cleaning here and if necessary, we’ll use heat guns to remove the more stubborn areas. The gate handles may need temporary removal or the gate itself may need realigning before we commence work, but all maintenance is handled by us.

WOOD TREATMENTS

For fence treatments and similar, we work with oak doors, oak varnishing, oak oiling and even a bit of French polishing back at the spray booth. We also spray wood furniture, including beds, drawers, sideboards, internal doors etc. Again, we wash them down, rub them down, prime them and remove all peripheral aspects such as handles or furniture.
